Biomicroscopy

A biomicroscopic is a “life” study of the eye that shows the finer details of external and internal eyeball and its appendages. It is done by a slit lamp, a device with a variable intensity light that is projected in a thin slot, creates a three-dimensionally eye structure of the anterior portion (lesions of cornea, cataract, iris cysts or lesions the eyelids) or in its middle portion (the lens and vitreous humor) and the deep posterior eye (the optic nerve head and its retinal arteries and thinner veins). The biomicroscopic study is a consistent practice in our consultations.
